The Salt Box
Just a short drive away, ( and soon a short walk away when the path is complete), The SaltBox Cafe is a charming cottage-style restaurant in the heart of the beautiful Colington island (est. 2014). We hope you get to meet the delightful Chefs/Owners, Randolph & Amanda Sprinkle. They are such amazing people and care so much about the food they prepare. They travel in the off-season to keep their palate fresh and new dishes for all of us to try are the result. They source local seafood, meats, and produce and have wonderful Vegan and GLUTEN FREE options! If it is nice out the porch is open for dining, and BONUS, many nights the sounds of a talented musician playing keyboard or guitar adds that extra bit of relaxing ambiance. Enjoy Lunch & Dinner. Open 6 days a week! (Brunch only on Sunday) *Closed on Tuesdays* MAKE SURE TO CALL FOR RESERVATIONS! ( P.S We are not affiliated with or compensated by The SaltBox Cafe, we just love it!)

Colington Cafe
A short drive from our inn, The Colington Cafe has an ambiance, unlike anything you will find elsewhere on the Outer Banks. They use the freshest products available and source locally whenever possible. From the morning’s freshest fish catch, (plump scallops right from the Wanchese fishing boats, Roanoke sound white shrimp, sweet crabmeat from Lake Matamaskeet and Colington) and local produce from the farms of Currituck. This is often seen as a "Special Occasion" restaurant, and they will go out of their way to make any event special. ( Sometimes the only "event" you need is a "because" day. Because you deserve good food, made by good people.) We strongly suggest reservations, which will add to your dining experience. Call after 3 pm to make yours. Advanced reservations can be made up to two weeks prior to your visit. We are not affiliated with or compensated by, Colington Cafe. We really love the food and the experience they serve.
